Shadow had nothing to do with it, cosmo died when SONIC &
shadow were fired out of sp cannon. why is he after shadow is there an episode I'm missing here, he tried to kill cosmo once but
he stoped.I'm not discoraging you I'm just confused.

An other reviewer asked almost the same question, so I'll tell you the same that I told him: "What I meant by Shadow and Eggman being the reason for the death of Cosmo, is that they COULD BE part of the reason. Like when Sonic and the others finally got the 7 Chaos Emeralds, Eggman and Shadow showed up, and after a Super Sonic VS Super Shadow fight, the emeralds were scattered around in space again. Maybe if they would have used the emeralds to kill the Metarex (or what the hell) the first time they got the emeralds, Cosmo wouldn't had to sacrifice herself. So Tails wants revenge coz Shadow and Eggman held them up to kill the Metarex in time. That's how I thinked the plot."
